This policy explains what we do with your personal information when you contact us or book a journey. We have kept it short, because we do not do very much with it.

Wombles Wheels is a private hire business run by Robin Woerner, trading as Wombles Wheels, based in Rugby, Warwickshire. We are the data controller for the information described here.

What we collect
When you fill in the enquiry form on this website, we collect your name, your phone number, your email address if you give one, the service you are asking about, the date you need and whatever you tell us about the journey.
When you call, text or email us, we collect whatever you tell us, usually the same things, plus your pickup and destination addresses.
Our web host keeps standard server logs, which include your IP address, for security and to keep the site running.
We do not collect anything else. We do not ask for card details through this website.
Why we have it, and our lawful basis
- To answer your enquiry and give you a price. Our lawful basis is taking steps at your request before entering into a contract.
- To carry out the journey you have booked. Our lawful basis is performance of our contract with you.
- To keep records of work done and payments taken. Our lawful basis is our legal obligation to keep accounting records.
- To keep the website secure. Our lawful basis is our legitimate interest in preventing misuse of the site.
We do not send marketing emails and we do not build any kind of profile on you.
How long we keep it
Enquiries that do not turn into a booking are kept for [TO CONFIRM: 12 months] and then deleted. Records of completed journeys are kept for six years from the end of the tax year they fall in, because HMRC requires it. Server logs are kept for [TO CONFIRM: period your host retains logs].
Who we share it with
We do not sell your information and we do not share it for marketing.
We share it only with the suppliers who make the business work: our web host, [TO CONFIRM: web host name]; our email provider, [TO CONFIRM: email provider]; and our accountant, [TO CONFIRM: accountant, if applicable]. Each of them only handles it to provide their service to us.
We would also share information if the law required it, for example a request from the police, our licensing authority, or a court.
Cookies
This website does not set any cookies on your device, does not use Google Analytics or any other analytics service, and does not load anything from social networks or advertising networks. There is nothing to accept or opt out of, which is why you will not see a cookie banner.
If you follow a link from our site to WhatsApp, that service has its own privacy policy and its own cookies.
Where your information is held

Your rights
